CHRISTMAS MARKETS 2013 Brussels & the southern Belgian region of Wallonia

BRUSSELS CHRISTMAS MARKET: From 29 November 2013 until 5 January 2014.

The Brussels Christmas Market will delight locals and visitors alike again. The festivities and displays create the magic whilst the numerous live animations and illuminations bring an unique atmosphere. Over a period of five weeks, shops will be remaining open all weekend, so no excuses for not buying that special Christmas present!

Exhibitors from all over Europe will set up their wooden chalets around the Grand-Place and in Place St Catherine – selling all manner of gastronomic specialities, handicrafts and other unusual stocking-fillers.

GRAND-PLACE - CHRISTMAS CONSTELLATIONS, CRIB & CITY LIGHTS (29 Nov 2013– 5 Jan 2014) the stunning baroque facades of the guild houses and Town Hall will be beautifully illuminated and dressed in festive garlands. There’ll also be a classic interpretation of the nativity scene.

Christmas Market Place St Catherine (29 Nov 2013 - 5 Jan 2014) Wooden chalets selling all manner of gastronomic specialities, handicrafts and other unusual stocking-fillers.

The OUTDOOR ICE RINK (29 Nov 2013 – 5 Jan 2014) - Place du Marché aux Poissons and the other attractions will remain open until the 5 January 2014.

THE BIG WHEEL AND THE BAR will open from 29 November 2013 until 5 January 2014.
THE SOUND AND LIGHT SHOW will take place at the Grand-Place.

LIEGE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE: 29 Nov–30 Dec 2013 Place St Lambert & Place du Marché.

During 4 weeks, 200 hundred wooden chalets will offer various products including gastronomic specialities, handicrafts and souvenirs.

OUTDOOR ICE RINK (29 Nov – 30 Dec 2013) Place de la Cathédrale

Set up in the heart of Liège's huge pedestrianised zone, the ice rink will be surrounded by lots more shopping, eating and drinking opportunities.

TOURNAI CHRISTMAS MARKET 1 Dec - 31 Dec 2013

MONS CHRISTMAS Village from mid-December 2013 until beginning of January 2014 at the Grand-Place. Dates TBC.

Mons Christmas village “Mons Coeur en Neige” opens mid-December to beginning of January. Dates TBC.

At the Grand Place, the giant Christmas tree and the numerous decorations and illuminations will bring the sparkle and the magic while the 900 meters square ICE RINK will test both your agility and your grace on ice. Don't miss out the foodie treats on offer at the wooden chalets alongside the handicrafts and the souvenirs. The Mons Christmas village will also feature a mix of entertainment reflecting the festive season including the orchestras, the fire-eaters, the waders, the jugglers.
