Welcome to the new version of the official website of the Belgian Tourist Office-Brussels and Wallonia for the UK and Ireland!
In this new look website you will find even more content, tips and news on the mainly French-speaking areas of Brussels and Wallonia in the South of Belgium, with plenty of new features including profiles and interviews of Belgian personalities, musical backgrounds from a selection of tracks by up-and-coming Belgian artists, a “hot deal” section with special offers by Belgian and UK–based operators, new pictures and stunning slide shows.
The site which was built with the Disability and Discrimination Act in mind will continue to provide the same easy access to key tourist attractions and towns, with listings of accommodation options by city, including boutique hotels and charming B&Bs, a selection of restaurants, an updated calendar of events, details of the main tour operators with useful links, downloadable brochures, maps and much much more.
2009 is not just the Year of Comic Strip, it will also see the inauguration of a brand new museum dedicated to the great master of "la bande dessinée" himself, Hergé. Situated thirty kilometres outside of Brussels, in the modern new town of Louvain-la-Neuve, the Hergé Museum is due to be opened on 22 May 2009, the anniversary of the birth of the creator of Tintin.
